Baby Mozart

Here is Baby Sister on tippy-toe just barely able to reach the keys on this piano belonging to my maternal grandparents. This old piano has been through a lot, including being saved from a fire, and has been played by many, many little fingers long before Baby Sister's. What with 8 children and then 23 grandchildren, this piano was the centerpiece of fun stationed in my grandparents' parlor room. I have many
fond memories of plunking away on those well-loved and worn keys with siblings and cousins. Now the piano rests in the front room of my parents' house and I love that new memories are being made by my Girls. Although grossly out of tune, to hear those keys being played is music to my ears! And I can't help but think that my grandma and grandpa can hear her up in heaven and are grinning from ear-to-ear.

Tickling the ivories....

....and happy as a clam with herself and the noise she is making.

Concert pianist in the making?! Perhaps....
