15 Months

Today Baby Sister had her 15 month Well Child Check-up. Here are her stats:

Length: 29 1/2 inches
(20th percentile)
Weight: 21 lbs 8 ozs
(26th percentile)
Head Circumference: 18 7/8 inches
(95th percentile)

As compared with her peers she is still an itty-bitty (With the exception of that big ol' head which is surely home to an
enormous brain!!) but has made huge gains, literally, in her weight over the past three months.

She also had to get four shots. As soon as I set her on that table and she heard the paper crinkling, she started to wail!! The vaccinations she received three months ago at her one year check-up combined with the four flu shots she got (2 for seasonal, 2 for H1N1) equals a whole lot of shots in the past three months and she has not forgotten about them! She has definitely made the association and was not happy about the idea of being poked yet again. And to top it all off she has an ear infection in both ears thanks to a nagging cold that she has been tolerating for 2 1/2 weeks now. One peek in her right ear and her pediatrician proclaimed, "Well, this ear doesn't look all that great," and then a few moments later of her left ear, "and this one is even worse." So tonight she had her first taste of amoxicillin and as you can see, she wasn't any the worse for the wear as she was all smiles playing with Daddy and Big Sister.
