Pneu.mon.yiack!

After 2 1/2 days of fluxing temperatures and general crabbiness that I attributed to teething, Baby Miss woke this morning with a soaring temperature of 105.5 degrees. I am not a fan of the walk-in clinic for various reasons but this situation warranted an immediate trip. After a nose swab, chest x-ray and nearly 4 hours of waiting, the doctor informed us that Baby Miss had pneumonia. Poor little baby. Sad!

Ponytails!

Usually this one doesn't want me messing with her hair but set her on the bathroom counter and look what happens. Two little ponytails!!

Her first. I am entirely biased but I think ponytails are adorable on her. I am a sucker for ponytails. Especially short ones.

"Wait a minute, what are these?" She was so preoccupied with the stuff on the counter that she didn't even notice what I was up to.

Swoon.

"Enough pictures already, Mom!" I can't help it.

To walk...or Not!

These pictures were taken on Tuesday, just moments after Baby Miss decided to start walking. With only a few fragmented steps here or there previously in the past couple of weeks she just started putting it all together and was walking around the kitchen like it was no big deal. I have no pictures to show for it because I was busy videotaping for J who has been out of town all week on business. I even went so far as to tell him, when I talked to him on the phone, that I was certain by the time he got
home that crawling would be a thing of the past for her. Well here we are two days later and she's not taken even a single step since. Maybe she's saving it up for him. As for these pictures, by this time she was dancing. Those puckered, pouty lips, apparently those are part of her dance. Every time I asked her to dance she made that face and started swaying her little body back and forth. Little Sister and I were cracking up.

Have I mentioned that she climbs too? Oh yes, she was very good about using this box to reach previously unattainable things off of the counter. I love the tippy toes!

You know what else I love? When my big Girls play together and get along as they were doing on this particular evening.
