Pumpkin Carvin'

This evening we carved up our pumpkins. The Girl had been anticipating it all weekend, ever since our trip to the pumpkin patch. However, when the
time arrived, yes there were more tears. If getting dirt on your hands is bad, then getting pumpkin guts on them is exponentially worse! Good thing that we have a Daddy to do all of our dirty work for us. Once the hollowing out of the pumpkins was complete, then the Girls got down to the serious
(and more fun) business of creating their Jack-O-Lantern faces. Although Little Sister's took a bit of
deciphering and the Girl's a bit of creative carving on J's part, they all turned out amazing!
Wouldn't you agree?!
And on another front, today I have reached the 37th week in this pregnancy. Thus, Baby Miss is now officially considered full-term and is welcome to arrive at any time. Are we ready for her arrival? Definitely not as ready as we could be, but with each successive child it seems that we are less prepared. At least in terms of having everything done that we'd like to. The nursery is still a disaster area, filled with remnants of our office furniture, crafting supplies, toys and miscellaneous other items that have found their way to that room as it used to be my catch-all dumping grounds, I've yet to locate, retrieve and launder our newborn clothes from one of the handful of Rubbermaid totes full of outgrown clothes in the garage and if we had to leave for the hospital right this very minute we'd be going empty-handed with only the clothes on our back - no bag and no infant seat strapped into the Trailblazer. Not that any of that matters though as if she chose to arrive tonight she'd be welcomed into our family and our hearts with an overwhelming abundance of love and adoration.
