On Saturday we had a
very low-key birthday celebration for Little Sister. Gramma, Papa and Aunt B came to town and Miss A and her family joined us for some pizza and a scrumptious ice cream cake. After much thought and debate I decided against throwing a huge birthday bash and was glad to forego all of the planning and preparation that goes along with it, especially considering that right
now she doesn't know any different and her list of friends is fairly limited. So glad I kept it simple as the cake was clearly enough in and of itself to make her happy! And, for once I was actually able to enjoy the moment too without worrying if everyone had a piece of cake, who needed a juice refill, etc.
