Today as I had one foot out the front door and Baby Sister precariously tucked under my arm, calling for the Girl and asking her why it was taking her so long to find her shoes, her reply came floating down to me from upstairs, "Mom, I think I have too much money." What?! As if that were a problem? I said, "That isn't necessarily a bad problem to have. But what makes you think you have too much money?" Then she appeared from around the corner holding out her ice cream cone-shaped coin purse fattened by wadded up dollar bills. She had, in a matter of seconds taken the $25 from her lemonade stand stash (2-$5's and 15-$1's) and crumpled all 17 bills individually before stuffing them into her coin purse. I am still bewildered at how she managed to get them all in there and to have done it so quickly. Anyhow, this money has been burning a serious hole in her pocket and she knew that we were headed to Target. She was on a mission to spend her

money and she knew exactly what she wanted. This pair of
Hello Kitty sandals. Miss A has a pair and the Girl has apparently been coveting

them. We also spent some time at Costco today. The Girl loves to go just for the samples and evidently Baby Sister is a quick study. Our first sample was a meatball, followed by a cinnamon raisin English muffin that was just across the aisle. As we arrived in the book section Baby Sister began to say, "
Moa." At first it was just a simple one syllable utterance but as I paid no attention she began to raise her voice and draw it out to "
Mooo-
aa," with increasing urgency. I finally put the book down that I had been flipping through and looked at her to find that in addition to her raving she was also looking over her shoulder and pointing - at a sample table set up across the store. When I turned the cart around and affirmed that she wanted 'more' she started screaming, "Yea!" and clapping her hands.
Yes, I now have two Costco sample connoisseurs on my hands.
