The new favorite toy in our house: the sit n' spin. The Girl got it for Christmas a couple of years ago but has never shown must interest in it. In fact, on more than one occasion, I've even contemplated getting rid of it as it has been doing nothing more than gathering dust and taking up valuable space in it's forlorn corner of the play room. But in the past couple of days it has gotten more use than it has in the last two years

and now I am oh-so-glad that I kept it around. The joy, smiles, shrieks and giggles echoing from our playroom and kitchen have made those two years of neglect a distant memory. I can't say for sure why the Girl never paid more attention to the sit n' spin but I suspect that Baby Sister's increasing
curiosity of it may have peaked the Girl's interest. Or maybe it is simply more fun when spun by two rather than one. Whatever the

reason, this toy has new life and is in no danger of being given away anytime soon. As you can see, Baby Sister has the perfect form down, she just needs a little help with the strength and coordination part of it to gain the momentum needed for hours of dizzying enjoyment. That, of course, is where the Girl comes in and the tandem fun begins. Here they are giving it a go. Baby Sister's legs are up and her toes flexed in

anticipation of the ride. (It is also worth mentioning that she is not holding on.) While the Girl is thrilled with the idea of a more adventurous activity that they can experience together and of which she gets to be in charge.

They haven't spun very far before things start to go awry and Baby Sister's balance is tested. She is trying with all her might to grip onto the Girl's arm with that little foot and those tiny toes.

But it just isn't enough and down she goes!

In no time she was ready to get back in the saddle and together the two of them figured out a solution....to place the Girl's legs over Baby Sister's and when Baby Sister isn't trying to help turn the wheel, she holds onto the Girl's legs. Let the spinning and laughter begin!!
