Little Baby Miss did it today...stood on her own two feet, that is! After, she'd been sitting. She got up all on her own, no assistance from furniture, Momma's leg, her toys, etc. A week ago she stood unintentionally on her own after letting go of my knees and when she realized what she'd done she was so excited. Upon losing her balance and falling she continued to pull herself up, let go and with each attempt she'd stand just a bit longer than the last try. I love witnessing these new skills and the continual growth. Each milestone is so exciting and the fact that we've seen them twice (with the other Girls) already makes it no less so. At the same time, a part of me is sad because I know that my 'Baby' will all too soon become my 'toddler.' In the meantime, I will continue to cherish and soak up all of the precious 'firsts' which also include the addition of new vocabulary - most recently, "Whoa!" The other day everything made her say, "Whoa!" and "Daadaa," which she had been saying for quite some time, has now become, "Daaaaadeeee!" and is always said with great enthusiasm. I am a bit green (with envy). So far, "Momma" is infrequently used and most usually when she is upset, but I'll take what I can get!
