Today we spent some time enjoying the sunshine in the convenience of our own backyard. As fun as it is to venture outside of the house, you sure can't beat the convenience of having everything you need right at your fingertips. When the morning can unfold at a more leisurely pace...no preparation, nothing to pack, no lunch to be made ahead of time. And so it was today. We stayed in our pj's until
the inviting rays of the sun beckoned to us through the windows. Then the pajamas were shed in favor of the
lycra stretch of bathing
suits. When lunchtime rolled around the Girls dined
alfresco on mac and cheese, pear slices, apple wedges and refreshing lemonade.
Little Sister (formerly known as Baby Sister) spent some time making silly faces...
While the Girl was back to the
exhilarating task of running through bone-chilling cold water.
When she was
thoroughly drenched and in some serious need of being warmed by the sun it was the perfect time for
a popsicle break.
