Circus, Circus

Last night the Girl and I went to the circus. J flat out refused to go - he hates the circus, doesn't like clowns and so he and Little Sister spent the night in while the Girl and I had date night. The Girl is none-too-fond of clowns either, in fact, the only way I could get her to go was to bribe her. Which I did by allowing her to pick out one of her new outfits for school and allowing her to wear it to the circus. She picked out
her Wizards of Waverly Place (a show on the Disney channel) outfit, not my favorite but it got her to the circus. In addition to not wanting to see
clowns, she also said that she did not want to go to the circus if there would be tigers or elephants there? What?! Who are you and what did you do with my kid? Last I remember, whenever we go to the zoo, seeing the elephants is tops on our list. Anyhow, despite not wanting to see half of the things that the circus is best known for, in the end, the Girl really enjoyed the show. About 20 minutes into it I
asked her how she was doing. She said that she was "...half having fun and half scared." By the end of the show her favorite part was
the globed-cage of motorcyclists whizzing around and on top of each other like a swarm of angry hornets and she admitted that the clowns weren't so bad. She even stated that one day she might become a clown so that she can scare little kids herself. Hmmmm...
