Faux Gingerbread

Today we had friends over and since we refused to let the Girl eat the gingerbread house that she made at school, we made new ones today. Except they weren't gingerbread but graham crackers and because no kid of mine has patience to let frosting dry we used half & half cartons as our support structure underneath (Anyone have a good recipe that calls for a lot of half & half?!) Each kiddo had their own
dish of frosting so there were no cross-contamination issues. Good thing as more frosting was going into their mouths than was making it
on the faux gingerbread. This is Mr. J and Little Sister has a thing for him. She has been known to say, "I love J." over and over. He is just one
day older than her. His sister, Miss A, is a year younger than the Girl and their Mom is the one who made the adorable crochet flower hats. Anyway as I recall, my first crush (at the ripe ol' age of five) was a redhead too...Marcus was his name. Ah, back to the gingerbread...Little Sister was quite liberal in applying the sprinkles. So much so that the floor required immediate (and by immediate I really mean a few hours later) sweeping and mopping. Even so sprinkles got tracked to the far corners of every downstairs room. As for the Girl, her house was very sparsely decorated as the candy somehow found it's way to her mouth first.
