'Your Ultimate Drink Stop.' That is SONIC's claim and I for one couldn't agree more. SONIC first entered my life a

handful of years ago when we lived in another state where they were proliferous. They serve the usual fast food fare, which in my opinion is mediocre but their drinks I hold in high regard. Their menu boasts a variety of beverages - blended floats, fruit slushes, cream slushes in exotic flavors such as blue coconut, lemon berry, grape and watermelon, ocean water, smoothies - all of these are in addition to what you'd expect to find - soda, milkshakes, juice and coffee drinks. Many a summer day have passed, since moving, when I've daydreamed about some of SONIC's cold, liquid goodness. Luckily for me, one recently opened near my parents' house and ever since I've made it a point to go to SONIC for a "fun drink" every time we've gone to visit them - it's my new, favorite pastime. Ha, ha!! The Girl is new on the SONIC scene but already she shares my love and enthusiasm for their beverages. My current favorite is the Blue Coconut Cream Slush (anyone who really knows me, knows that I L-O-V-E coconut!) and the Girl likes the Cranberry Fruit Juice Slush. And, as you can see from the pictures, Baby Sister is just hankering for a taste of all that delicious goodness too!! Did I mention that every day between 2:00 and 4:00 is Happy Hour and all of the drinks are half price?
