Hula Hoopin' Girls

No words necessary.

7 Months

At 7 months this sweet Baby is ready for many things and a ponytail is not one of them! The Girl really wanted me to give her a ponytail and so I did but she won't be sporting one again anytime soon. It is my personal opinion that she needs more hair before the ponytail makes a comeback. But, back to the things she is ready for like solid foods. So far she has tried black beans, bananas, lentils and the latest - avocado. All of which she seems to like. She is also ready to be mobile and is rolling all over the place. It is fun to watch her go. Her Big Sisters will be playing with her and leave to grab something only to return and find her across the room. Then they exclaim, "How did she get over there?!"

Graduation

This evening the Girls' uncle graduated from high school.
We went prepared with signs to cheer him on but were totally unprepared for how long it takes 412 graduates to collect their diplomas! Eek!!! I rummaged through my purse and managed to find half a bag of gummy bears and a package of peanut butter sandwich cookies. Nothing to entertain them. I couldn't even find a pen in the vast, bottomless hole which is my purse/diaper bag. The case for getting an iPhone presented itself when J's cousin came to the rescue
with hers...those aps sure are handy when it comes to occupying small children. Ha! But even that wasn't enough to
stave off the monotony and we made our exit mid-way through the ceremony, right after Uncle Stevie received his diploma. Way to go Uncle Stevie, we love you!

Older...

This morning I asked Little Sister what she is gonna be when she grows up. "Older," was her response. Man I love this Girl.

And love,

love,
LOVE this lil peanut!

U Scream, I Scream

All of this can mean only one thing - ice cream social! To celebrate the first real warm day that we've had around these parts
we loaded up on goodies, hauled out the sprinkler, invited some friends over (there were 15 little people age 5 and
under!) and feasted on ice cream. The Girl was excited at the prospect of loading up on ice cream with limitless possibilities. In the
end, she opted for a cone with her toppings in a bowl on the side ;)
Love how Miss A's cone color coordinates with her swimsuit.

These two were awfully cute. They are cousins and best buddies. He kept snatching gummy bears from her bowl.
Don't you hate it when sprinkles fall down the front of your suit?

We had so much fun that there might just be a few more of these socials in our future.

Sister Love

In recent months, more often than not, these two are bickering - usually over who took what from who. But occasionally they play really great together, as was the case yesterday when I discovered them upstairs. The Girl was giving Little Sister a dance lesson. It was too cute. I love it when they are being sweet to one another...treasured memories that I store up in my heart.

Look What I Can Do!

Baby Miss is perfecting her balancing act. She can sit for short periods of time before leaning too far one way or the other
and toppling over. She thinks it's pretty neat and so do I. I love watching her when she knows she's accomplishing
something big.
